By accessing or using The Startupverse website, VC Directory, newsletter, library, community, or any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Services.
2. Description of Services
The Startupverse provides fundraising resources for founders, including but not limited to: a searchable VC firm directory, a content library, a weekly newsletter, infrastructure partner listings, and community features. Some features are available for free; others require a paid subscription.
3. Accounts
To access certain features (such as the VC Directory), you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed. You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access.
4. Free and Paid Tiers
The free tier of the VC Directory provides access to basic firm information. The Pro Directory tier provides additional data, features, and tools for a subscription fee. Subscription pricing, billing frequency, and terms are displayed at the time of purchase. All Pro subscriptions are billed annually. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the VC Directory or any part of the Services
- Resell, redistribute, or republish any data obtained from the Services without written permission
- Use the Services to send unsolicited bulk communications to investors listed in the directory
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or to the Services' infrastructure
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
6. Intellectual Property
All content on The Startupverse, including articles, data, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of The Startupverse or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without permission.
7. Not Financial, Legal, or Investment Advice
The Startupverse is an educational resource and information platform. We are not financial advisors, investment advisors, broker-dealers, attorneys, accountants, or tax professionals. All content, data, playbooks, articles, newsletters, directory information, and other materials provided through the Services are for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on The Startupverse constitutes financial advice, legal advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any security or enter into any transaction.

Unless expressly stated otherwise (for example, designated Infrastructure Partners and other organizations we publicly identify as endorsed), The Startupverse does not endorse, vet, or guarantee any venture firm, investor, or other third party listed in our directory or mentioned in our content.
8. Data Accuracy
The Startupverse makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate and current information in the VC Directory. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data. Investment and fundraising decisions should not be based solely on information obtained from the Services.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The Startupverse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
